The COVID-19 pandemic brought sweeping changes to the food industry. Dine-in service was closed. Traditional delivery only reached a few miles. Ethnic communities in cultural food deserts were shut off from traditional comfort food. Organizing over 30 restaurants and grocers, we created a 50-mile delivery zone in PA, NJ, and DE. We served 4,200 families, delivering 300 tons of groceries and 200,000 prepared Asian and Halal dishes.
